1. Who we are

"VioGolf," "we," and "us" refers to the operators of the VioGolf tournament-management service. If you have a question about this policy, contact support@viogolf.com.

2. What we collect

When you register or use the service, we collect:

Account data: email address, name, hashed password, and (optionally) phone number, GHIN number, and handicap index.
Tournament data: tournaments you create or join, scores you enter, results, and related metadata.
Payment data: for paid plans, billing details are handled by Stripe — we receive a confirmation token, not your card number.
Usage data: standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) and product analytics events used to debug issues and improve the product.

3. How we use it

To provide the service — show your tournaments, calculate results, and post scores.
To send transactional messages (account verification, password reset, payment receipts).
To send product updates if you opt in to an email list.
To detect abuse, debug issues, and improve features.

4. Who we share with

We share the minimum data necessary with a small set of processors, each of which is contractually bound to use it only on our behalf:

Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
Our hosting provider — to run the service.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

We retain account and tournament data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days except where retention is legally required (e.g. payment records). Aggregated, de-identified analytics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for marketing messages at any time. Email support@viogolf.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use first-party cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember dismissals of UI prompts (e.g. the early-access bar), and record anonymous analytics. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via email or in-product notice prior to taking effect. See our Terms of Service for more on how changes apply.
