Who we are
VioGolf was started by Tupper Kinder and Mak Ibrahim — two builders who spent too many weekends running tournaments out of spreadsheets and chasing scorecards across the parking lot.
We built VioGolf because the tournament software our friends were using felt like it was designed for a different decade. Live scoring that didn't work on phones. Results that required a manual export. Payouts settled days after the players left. We thought directors deserved better — so we started building it.
What we believe
- The director's day should be about golf, not software. Every screen, every default, every keyboard shortcut earns its place by making the tournament day easier — or it doesn't ship.
- Results should be auditable. Players and clubs deserve to see exactly how a score became a standing, and a payout. No black boxes, no "trust us, the spreadsheet was right."
- Live should mean live. If a player can shoot a 4 on their phone, every spectator, sponsor, and trailing group should see that 4 on their phone too — without anyone needing to refresh.
- Tournament-day software shouldn't break under pressure. We test the worst cases — bad connections, dead phones, partial scorecards, a director with two pairs of eyes on a Saturday morning — because that's exactly when the software gets used.
Where we are now
